Youth Ministry in Christian Ministries

Youth Ministry Position

POSITION:

Full-time tenure track position in Youth Ministry for Fall 2008.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. in Youth Ministry related field preferred. Candidate should have 5+ years experience leading and growing a vital youth ministry program in a congregational and/or para-church setting. Members of diverse cultures are welcome at Asbury College.

INSTITUTIONAL COMMITMENT:

Candidates must give evidence of an evangelical Christian commitment, and advocate a commitment to the College's Wesleyan-holiness theological stance.

ACADEMIC RANK:

Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching courses in youth ministry, including foundational ministry preparation courses. Supervising practica and internships. Providing leadership to the youth ministry program and collegial support of all department programs, as well as student advising and appropriate committee assignments.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.

CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES DEPARTMENT:

The department offers undergraduate majors in Youth Ministry, Christian (educational) Ministries, and Missions, and provides supporting courses for majors in Bible/Theology. Minors are also available in Youth Ministry, Christian (educational) Ministries, and Missions.
